  • Check-in at Gower
  • Judging 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Awards 2:30 PM

Per LAFD and LA City requirements, vehicles may not leave until event ends at 3:00 PM.

Low Rider

Customized vehicles with lowered suspensions, hydraulic systems, detailed paint, and intricate interiors. Built for style, culture, and craftsmanship both on the street and on display.

Hot Rod

Pre-1949 American cars that have been modified for performance and style. Classic builds with upgraded engines, custom bodywork, and vintage attitude.

Muscle

American performance cars, typically from the 1960s–early 1970s, built with powerful V8 engines and aggressive styling. These cars represent the golden era of factory horsepower.

Modern

Late-model vehicles (1980s–present) featuring contemporary performance, technology, and customization. Includes tuners, exotics, performance builds, and specialty editions.

Stock

Original or near-original vehicles restored or preserved to factory specifications. Judged on authenticity, condition, and historical accuracy.

Exhibit

Special display vehicles not competing for awards but showcased for community engagement or educational purposes. May include sponsor vehicles, specialty builds, or unique one-of-a-kind entries.

Motorcycle

All street-legal motorcycles including cruisers, sport bikes, touring bikes, custom builds, and vintage models. Judged on condition, customization, and overall presentation.

Police or Classic EMR

Retired or current law enforcement, fire, or emergency response vehicles including patrol cars, motorcycles, and specialty units. Celebrating public safety history and community connection.

Car Show: All years Makes and Models are welcome – Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Exotics, Custom, Imports, Jeeps, Street and Hot Rods - Select Category during registration $50
All proceeds benefit Hollywood PAL Youth Programs

CAR SHOW TIMES

Registration/Load In: 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM Event and Show Time: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Judging: from 11:30AM – 2:00PM Awards: 2:30 PM
Load Out: 3PM

FREE TO THE PUBLIC Open to the public at 11am, all welcome
Special display area for Super Cars and Celebrity Cars, DJ, Beer Garden, Sponsor and Community Booths (Kids Activities).

EVENT PARKING FOR SPECTATORS

There are several lots in the surrounding area, however, the parking lot located at
1800 Vine Street managed by Proper Parking is generously providing a discounted rate for Car Show Attendees.
$12 flat fee from 9am - 3pm, let parking staff know you are going to the HPAL Car Show to receive the discount.
